The Second Babylon: The ancient city of Borsippa is located 12 miles south of the city-state Babylon in Hillah Province of Central Iraq. An ancient religious center it was the site of the Ezida Temple dedicated to Marduk -- the national god of the Old Babylonian Empire. It was built by Hammurabi who reigned from 1792 to 1750 BC.
