Amalek (Hebrew: עֲמָלֵק‬) is a nation described in the Old Testament of the Hebrew Bible. The name "Amalek" can refer to the nation's founder a grandson of Esau; his descendents the Amalekites; or the territories of Amalek which they inhabited (1).
